This is a high-quality, original World War II U.S. Army Air Corps Aviation Cadet Brooch insignia, manufactured by the renowned American badge maker Meyer of New York. Crafted in two parts, it features gold-plated wings and a silver-plated two-blade propeller, symbolizing a cadet’s status in training. This insignia was worn by cadets in the U.S. Army Air Forces Flying School before they earned their wings as commissioned flying officers. The back of the badge bears Meyer & Co.’s shield logo and includes a screw post with two small positioning pins for secure attachment to a cap. This piece remains in very good condition and is a meaningful relic of WWII aviation history—perfect for collectors of military or U.S. Air Force memorabilia. Marked: Sterling Dimensions: measuring approximately 2 15/16 x 2 inches and weighing 25 grams. United States, 1940
