TV Lamps are a particularly iconic type of vintage home decor. Manufactured primarily in the 1950s and early 1960s, these little lamps were designed to sit on top of the television and shine against the wall behind it to cast a soft glow to alleviate the eye strain of viewing in a darkened room. Highly decorative, TV Lamps came in a variety of shapes and themes, but are most commonly glazed ceramic with some painted details.
This particular lamp features a crouching panther perched on a rock. The light is finished in a high-gloss cinnamon-brown glaze. It takes a standard-size E26 base light bulb.
