This is a beautiful spring cantilever chrome lounge chair with black wood arms in yellow vinyl, designed by Kem Weber for Lloyd Manufacturing Company, later Heywood Wakefield, in the late 1930s.
The chair consists of a flat steel chrome frame that seamlessly forms to shape the legs, arms, and back support of the streamlined seat. The arms are topped with black wood armrests that follow the curvature of the chairs' design. This is a great example of 1930s modernism, much like the Gilbert Rohde, Wolfgang Hoffmann, and Kem Weber era of designer chrome.
