This vintage table lighter by the company ARROW is an exceedingly rare find: a tastefully nude Hula Girl model crafted from chromed metal, featuring a Bakelite base. Within the base lies an innovative silent flame lighter, showcasing early battery-powered technology. Positioned above, the hula girl, though artfully depicted, is topless, and an intriguing feature awaits: pinching her skirt from the rear reveals a provocative frontal display.

The design exudes elements of Art Deco and Art Nouveau styles, with a subtle nod to Victorian aesthetics, particularly in its incorporation of the naughty and erotic aspect. These are commonly referred to as touch tips, the prevailing term for them. These specific lighters require two D cell batteries housed in the base. The wand is detached and placed on one of the wires, and the tip is then brought into contact with the statuette.

This action completes the electrical circuit with the batteries, causing a small coil in the wand's tip to heat up sufficiently to ignite a cigarette. It is 5 1/2" tall by 4 1/8"
