This 17-foot angel sculpture entitled, "Wings of the Republic" is rendered in fiberglass, may be used inside or outside and may be finished in silver. Circa 1990 The angel replicates Oskar Hansen's 1936 "f the Republic," designed for the Hoover Dam. The sculpture was originally produced for the 1997 film "Buddy" starring Rene Russo, The statue was also used in " Robin" (1997) and "Catwoman" (2004) in addition to several music videos. Original is bronze, 30 feet tall on Hoover Dam. Multiples of the sculpture may be produced upon request. Please contact the showroom for further details. History: Norwegian-born and naturalized American sculptor Oskar J.W. Hansen designed many of the sculptures on and around the Hoover Dam. His works also include the monument of dedication plaza and a plaque to memorialize the workers.
