The Egyptian Revival era of jewelry occurred during the Art Deco period when Tutankhamun's Tomb was discovered. The front is finished in fine hand-painted enamel detailing, depicting a man on a camel with the Nile sandy desert in the background, with a blue and green triangular border. It's hinged down one side and opens to reveal a graceful nude female mummy that is intricately detailed. The top opens smoothly and closes securely with a small catch on the side, making it both a functional and collectible piece.
